Mug Monday Turns Into Books & Wine Monday

Hello, my dear book-loving-Padawans!

Today is somewhat special because I´ve decided to make one minor change to my very apocalyptic Monday post feature.

Sprummer has arrived ( Spring + Summer ) which means we´re enjoying April´s unusual but steady 26 Degrees ( 78 °F ). I can´t stomach another hot chocolate, not even if someone paid me. And since I don´t drink coffee or any other bougie café drink I thought I´d jump over to the next best beverages -Soda, water, and/or wine.

I know, I know. Hot chocolate and a book go hand in hand. But so does a glass of wine and a book. Don´t believe me?

So this is what we´ll be getting a lot of for the next 5-ish months. If this sort of feature is frowned upon then just keep in mind- This isn´t the worst idea I´ve had lately.

Speaking of ideas… Guess who came up with a new book blog addition last week? It was at the ass crack of dawn when I thought about all the short stories I´ve read. The short stories I haven´t reviewed because I had no flipping clue on how to write reviews for them. My reviews are usually just as long as some short stories are.
So, I came up with the Book Review Bar.

A once a month feature where I give 1-2 liners for a short story, or basically anything with less than 200 pages. Short stories are usually measured by words not by pages, but in my case, I don´t care because whatever is slim enough to get lost between all my other books is a short story for me. So, that´s another thing I´m looking forward to seeing on my blog.

As for other bookish news: I´m currently in a “Should I… Should I not…” reading mood. There´s one book I´m dying to read but I´m also petrified of starting it. 797 pages plus an Epilogue. That´s a commitment. I mean, look at the size of this puppy!

You wouldn´t believe how often I´ve pushed this one aside. Not only because of its intimidating size but also because it´s from Sarah J. Maas. Experience has taught me that the author’s books are either a total hit or total miss. Fingers crossed that I won´t be too disappointed. Fingers crossed I´ll start this one… soon.

That´s it for this week, my wonderful book squad. I hope you enjoyed.

Before I go…

Tell me: Have you read Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas? What are your thoughts on the book? What are your thoughts on wine and books? What have you been up to lately?

I´m currently suffering from a lack of human contact so feel free to leave a comment below. I´d love to chat ( with anyone other than the people in my house ).

Until next week!

Much bookish love,

Time For Mugs..

Here´s what I believe to be the perfect way to spend a day- Sitting somewhere comfortable with a hot beverage and a good book, preferably wrapped in a cozy blanket.

Sometimes I even get to enjoy a day or two during the week and play out that perfect moment. It´s kind of like an important ritual for me. A hot chocolate steaming from a mug and holding a book. It´s relaxing. It´s soothing. It´s heaven.

WP MUGS
A few of many….

For me- mugs and books go hand in hand. Well, any drink goes well with a good book but I´d always pick a mug over a cocktail/wine glass. Plus, there are more cooler mugs than there are glasses. And mugs are book-related objects. Totally bookish. * grin *

So, with that being said- I want to announce my new blog feature: Mug Monday

Mug Monday´s will be about mugs or anything porcelain that has a handle or can keep my hot chocolate or peppermint tea warm ( because those are the only two warm drinks I go near) including talk of my newest/latest read, book/social media gossip.

My kitchen is filled with mugs of all shapes, colors and sizes that it would be a shame not to include them in my book posts.

I´m looking forward to awesome discussions over drinks and books!

(Note: Instagram Mug Features Wednesday´s. Instagram Mug Features may or may not be included in blog posts.)

Much love,

Morgana xxx
