#1   What was the last book you strongly disliked?

Oooh, that would be `You` by Caroline Kepnes. It was one of those books I completely forgot I bought but then spotted it again, got excited, had high hopes, then ended up being so disappointed that I had to call my mom.

You

#2   How does your star rating system work for your reviews (if you use one)?

I use a 5-star rating system for my reviews that´s hopefully easy to understand.

5 stars: The best book existing.

4 stars: T´was great.

3 stars: Could´ve been better / Could´ve been worse.

2 stars: Nope.

1 star:  Nope nope nope nope.

#3   What are your favorite pizza toppings?

I´d say pizza with extra cheese and sausage. Or pizza with prosciutto and thick chunks of shaved parmesan. I would actually kill for a pizza right now.

#4  Would you rather read a great plot with mediocre characters, or a boring plot with amazing characters?

Since I would end up giving either a lower rating I´d say neither.

#5   How many books are you currently reading, and which one is your favorite so far?

I can´t read more than one book at a time. I get confused really quick.

#6   What was the last book review you posted?

The last review I posted was for Book Review: How The States Got Their Shapes – Mark Stein

How the states got their shape

Not necessarily a genre I typically review but.. a book is a book, right? And this one was worth writing a review for.

#7   Do you prefer MG, YA, NA, or adult books?

YA, NA, and adult books have ( more or less ) always been my go-to genres. Nowadays I´m not really feeling any YA love so I´ll go with NA and adult books.

#8   Is there a popular author you’re NOT interested in reading anything by? (Elaborate if you’re comfortable doing so!)

I´m going to team up with Jonny on this one. J.K. Rowling. I have yet to read one of her books. I just can´t be bothered. The world she created is probably great but it doesn´t interest me… like, at all. I did try to watch the movies, though. Paid good money to fall asleep 3 times in a row at the movie theater.

And Cassandra Claire. Although, I think she´d fall into the “popular author I´m not interested in reading anything anymore” category.

#9   What marginalized rep would you most strongly like to see more of in books?

Again- I´m with Jonny. I´d really love to see more LGBT characters in books.

#10  Do you listen to music while reading?

Aaaaaaah! No. * hides face * I suck at multitasking. I can do one or the other but never both. But when I take blog breaks I tend to listen to music. Does that count?

#11  Do you prefer book twitter or bookstagram?

Bookstagram + Me

=

Twitter + Me

=

I´ll go with Twitter. Lol.

That´s about it, my dear bookish Padawans. I hope I didn´t bore you too much.

I Nominate:

Everyone. I´m terrible at nominating anyone in particular. Besides- Doesn´t everyone deserve a Sunshine Blogger Award?

And because I´m so original *snorts loud* I´m going to copy Jonny´s Questions. Don´t forget to tag me so I can see your awesome answers ❤

Sunshine Blogger Award

Woop Woop!

Hugs and virtual chocolates go out to Norrie @ Reading Under The Blankie for nominating me to participate in the Sunshine Blogger tag. I shall do my bestest of bestest to answer all questions provided by Her Blankie Majesty….

Here we go…..

#1    Do you believe in ghosts?

Yes and no. Let´s just say I get spooked easily and I also have a wild imagination. I´m also a chicken shit when I´m alone at night. I once nearly attacked my own reflection with a baseball bat. ( The Tv was off, the lights were dimmed, I was reading while husbutt was out. I had my trusty baseball bat at my side. I turned a page from my book, saw from the corner of my eye my own reflection in the Tv and got armed.) IF I´d believe in ghosts I´d seriously be fucked with a baseball bat. I don´t believe though, so…

#2    Have you ever sneaked out of the house to go to a party in your wild teen years?

Guilty on multiple accounts. I was successful for most of the time, too. It all slowed down when I once tried climbing out of my window ( at age 16 ) and spotted my mom standing under my window with her arms crossed, just waiting for me. You can´t imagine how fast I fell back into my room. Then my sneaking out of the house days stopped when ( at age 18 ) when I had one admirer in the livingroom and one at the front door. My only option was to escape through my bedroom window again. Fuckers both caught me. I gave up afterwards.

#3    What´s your take on flowery food? (Lavender biscuits, wild flowers in salads, and so on). Yey or nay?

Sure, why not? Flowery foods wouldn´t be my first pick off the menu but I´d never say no if I were invited to a flowery food dinner party.

#4    What’s a book that you thought was kind of trashy but you still enjoyed?

That would be Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Omg, that book was just so trashy in a college trashy over exaggerated way but I still enjoyed it. Even grab it for occasional reread sessions.

#5     Imagine it’s time for a cookie. Do you dip it in milk, sip coffee with it, or munch on it in its dry glory?

I like my cookies sand – paper – dry.

#6     Would you say you are a morning person?

I´m happy I don´t kill myself in the morning by accident. That´s the only thing I´m happy about and it´s the only happy thought I harbor until lunch.

#7     Winter sports. Yey or nay?

I hate to say nay because winter sports are kind of cool in their own right… So, I´ll say this: Sports indoors, during the winter are awesome.

#8     Has it ever happened that you liked a film or series adaptation of a book? If so, which book was it?

I can´t think of one. There probably is…

#9     Do you find house chores (cleaning, dish-washing, etc.) relaxing, or necessary evil?

Depends on the room. The kitchen is an evil place so naturally, everything happening there is always evil and designed to make my life a living hell. I do find mopping floors relaxing and oh so satisfying.

#10     Do you chill in your pjs all day when you don’t need to leave the house?

#11     What was the last book that knocked your socks off?

That would be The Book Of Love, by Fionnuala Kearney. Still can´t get over it.

That´s it, dear bookish Chicititas. I hope you enjoyed. ❤

Now let´s see what Aurora LibrialisSuzieyBrina, and Nina have to say about these wonderful Q´s. No pressure, loves….. ❤ Get ready for Life´s Favorites…

#1 What´s your favorite era / decade? Why?

#2 What´s your least favorite genre to read? Why?

#3 What´s your favorite day of the week?

#4 What´s your favorite movie / Show? Why?

#5 What´s your favorite song?

#6 Who´s your favorite literary villain?

#7 Do you sing along with your favorite song when you hear it?

#8 Your favorite author has retired. What would you do to get him/ her to write a book just for you?

#9 Who´s your favorite person?

#10 Would you rather ride your favorite bike or drive your favorite car?

RULES:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.
  • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and ask them 11 new questions
  • List the rules and display the sunshine blogger award logo in your post/or on your blog

Let´s see if I can answer Suziey´s questions without blowing it completely. Ready? Ready. Okay, everyone. Time to take a deep breath. This is gonna be fun (fingers crossed)

1. Would you rather travel back in time and alter history or go to the future and find out how and when you die and why?

I´d definitely go back in time and change a few things. I´m not one to regret my choices but I would love to go back and reword arguments / try not to hurt people as much as I´ve done. I´m a very proud person and can lash out when stuck in an ugly situation.

2. What songs would the soundtrack of your life consist of?

When I was a teenager I used to say “All by myself” was the complete soundtrack of my life ( yes. I was a dramatic little turd ). Now, I have a colorful list of everything. Each of these songs represents me. My life.

  • Bad Ideas from Alle Farben ( This is my life anthem )
  • The Middle – Jimmy Eat World ( So my life )
  • That´s Not My Name – The Ting Tings ( Because many people call me by nicknames and to this day, have no clue what my name is. The guessing games at parties were and still are always fun. )

3. If you woke up tomorrow in somebody else’s body, who would you want to be and what would you do?

Uuhm… * scratching head * Not sure. I´ve never thought about this before. Thinking about it now- I wouldn´t want to go through a body swap. I have enough on my plate as it is- Changing bodies would only bring more problems and I´m too exhausted to deal with new issues. But if a body swap was to take place then I sure as hell hope it´s with someone who has a nice fluffy plush bed.

3. When was the last time you binge watched a show and what was it?

I´m currently binge watching Friends.. for the hundredth time. And before that it was Game Of Thrones. Next up- Game of Thrones ( mainly because I think husbutt still doesn´t understand it. HAHAHA )

4. What is the best compliment you’ve ever gotten?

From my girls- “You´re the best Mommy.” That´s all I need. Although I´m their only mom they still feel the need to point out that I´m their best. Lol. Like they have much to compare with. 🙂 Still warms my heart. ❤

5. Have you met any celebrities before, and if so, who?

Ooooh, probably. But I belong to those people who´re too ignorant to notice a celeb even if he/she were tied to my back.

6. What books would you recommend to someone that says they hate reading?

I wouldn´t recommend books to those people. Lol. In fact… I´d do a convo swap, pull someone else ( who´s just walking by ) into the convo and say “Oops. Won´t you look at the time. I gotta head out.” And elegantly make a run for it.

7. Which fictional character would be the most boring to meet?

Most of Jane Austen’s Heroes.

8. What is your favorite word?

Fuck.

9. If you had a boat, what bookish name would you give it?

Bookish name as in title or character name? A title I´d give my boat would be `The Mighty Storm` which is from The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle. And a character name for my boat would be Pigeon from `A Beautiful Disaster`by Jamie McGuire

10. What would be the title of your autobiography?

Nap Time. Give Me 5 More Minutes. Leave Me Alone. I Survived. Not My Fault. It´s All His Fault. I Wasn´t Paid Enough.

11. What is the one question that you absolutely hate being asked?

Omg. This question is made for me! I get asked the same stupid thing every-damn-time by people who I believe are fairly clever but act like total idiots when then ask that ONE question.

“Are you wearing contact lenses?”

Hmm… Would it be wise to wear contact lenses when I wear glasses? Have you seen how thick my glasses are? I mean- I wear them all the damn long time. Night and day. You´ve never seen me without them because if I don´t wear them I couldn´t see you. I´d be talking to a tree instead of you! OH! You´re talking about my eye color? So, gray can´t be natural? Is that what you´re saying?

That´s how the convo inside my head goes. Instead, the convo goes more like this:

Person:  ( squinting eyes and coming close to my face) Are you wearing contact lenses?

Me: ( having the convo above with myself) No. I have these babies on for a real reason. Why?

Person: I don´t know. Your eye color..Is that gray? ( sounding like I just escaped the Zoo )

Me: ( wanting to run away ) Yeah. I know. Sorry. They´re real.

Okay. Don´t get me wrong. It should be flattering when someone asks me if I´m wearing contact lenses. And sometimes it is ( depending on the person, of course ) but most just look at me ( when they´re close enough ) like I´m some abnormal species. It pisses me off. To tell you the truth… My eyes are blue with just a gray-ish shade that have a weird snowflake pattern. That´s all. Not my fault. Go to my mom and complain. She´ll give you a full blown run down on where I got the color from and who MIGHT get it in the future. Meeh. I´m just fed up. Ignore me. Lol.

Thank you, again, Suziey from Of All the Books in All the Libraries ❤
